This is a set of 5 antique Aizu lacquerware soup bowls made during the Showa era.

The company that manufactured this product, Kyosei Kogei, no longer exists, but in the past (1970s) it was a company with high technical skills, having even won a technology award from the Japan Paint Technology Association.

This vessel, crafted with such high skill, has a glossy vermilion interior and a beautiful wood grain lacquer finish on the outside.

The natural wood base is finished with a coat of genuine lacquer, making it durable, lightweight, and easy to use for everyday use.

The clean, easy-to-use shape and the lustrous color of the genuine lacquer make it perfect for serving a variety of soups.

Precautions when using lacquer products

- Please be careful when handling lacquerware.

- When storing or using the tableware with other tableware, rubbing it against other tableware or scratching it with nails can cause the lacquer or urethane coating to peel off.

・Please wash gently by hand, dry with a soft cloth, and store out of direct sunlight. Please strictly follow these instructions to protect the painted surface for a long time.

・Do not soak the product in water as this may cause the paint to deteriorate or peel off.

・Never use the product in a microwave, oven, over an open flame, or in a dishwasher, as this may cause damage to the painted surface.

・As this is a lacquerware item, please take care when it comes into contact with other items, rubs against them, or drops. This can cause the paint to peel or lose its luster.
