Collection: Tobe Ware Collection

Tobe ware is a traditional ceramic craft that has been produced in Tobe Town, Ehime Prefecture for over 200 years.

Created in the late Edo period (late 18th century) as tableware for everyday use, it is characterized by its durable, shatter-resistant white porcelain and hand-painted indigo patterns.

The thick, simple shape and the space created by the movement of the brush strokes make it feel more comfortable in your hand the more you use it, adding a quiet beauty to your dining table.
Tobe ware blends naturally into both Japanese and Western styles and is suited to modern life; it is a vessel that grows with the user over time.
