Regarding the handling of pottery and porcelain

🏺 About the handling of pottery and porcelain

— To add quiet beauty to your daily life —

The tableware you choose from Tokoro Bloom is the culmination of the handiwork of Japanese artisans. Please read the following instructions to ensure that you can enjoy your tableware for many years to come.

🌿 About individual differences

🌀 Each piece is different in color, pattern, glaze flow, and firing unevenness.
This is the unique flavor of handmade products, so please enjoy it as part of its individuality.

🔍 Small black spots, pinholes, and uneven glaze are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. They do not affect the quality of the product.

🫧 For ceramics (absorbent vessels)

🪷 Before first use:

  • Soak the vessel in water for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • This is called "sealing" and makes it difficult for odors and dirt to penetrate.
  • After soaking in water, allow to dry naturally before use.

🧼 Care Instructions:

  • Wash immediately after use and dry thoroughly.
  • We recommend gently hand washing with a neutral detergent.
  • Avoid soaking for long periods of time.
  • Sudden temperature changes (hot water to cold water, etc.) can cause cracks.

🚫 Microwave and dishwasher use is not recommended for some types of containers. Please check the product instructions.

✨ For porcelain (tableware with low water absorption)

  • It is a more durable and easier to care for material, but it should be washed by hand.
  • Whether or not the product can be used in a microwave or dishwasher depends on whether it has glaze or decoration.
  • Tableware decorated with gold or silver cannot be placed in the microwave.

💡 Precautions for use

🔪 Metal cutlery may scratch surfaces.
Store in a dry place. Moisture can cause mold and odors.
🕊 Crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) may occur over time, but this does not affect the use of the product.

The more you use the dish, the more its texture develops.
We hope that this will bring a quiet, poetic moment to your daily dinner table.
